The staff of Counseling Today recently won four awards in APEX 2020, the 32nd annual awards competition for publication excellence presented by Communications Concepts.

Senior writer and social media coordinator Bethany Bray won a Grand Award in the writing category for her January 2020 cover story, “Dealing with the realities of dementia.” Only 100 Grand Awards total were presented to honor outstanding work across 12 major categories and nearly 1,200 entries. She also received an Award of Excellence in the feature writing category for her April 2019 article, “Bundle of joy?

Senior writer Laurie Meyers earned an Award of Excellence in the health and medical writing category for her January 2019 feature, “Talking about menopause.”

Senior graphic designer Carlos Soto won an Award of Excellence in the design and illustration/best redesigns category for his 2020 redesign of Counseling Today.

Counseling Today has received a total of 53 awards for writing, design and website excellence over the past 15 years.
