Counseling Today recently received three awards in APEX 2019, the 31st annual awards program recognizing excellence in publishing.
Senior writer Laurie Meyers was the recipient of a Grand Award in the writing category for her October 2018 feature, “Could toxic workplaces be killing your clients?” Only 100 Grand Awards total were presented across 12 major categories and nearly 1,300 entries.
Senior writer and social media coordinator Bethany Bray was honored with an Award of Excellence in the feature writing category for her December 2018 article, “Finding love in a ‘swipe left’ universe.”
In addition, Counseling Today’s companion website, CT Online (ct.counseling.org) was recognized with an Award of Excellence in the category of best websites — WordPress sites. Earlier this year, CT Online launched a mobile-responsive upgrade to make the site a vastly improved experience for readers on their phones and tablets.
APEX Awards are based on excellence in graphic design, editorial content and the ability to achieve overall communications excellence. APEX Grand Awards honor the outstanding works in each main category, while APEX Awards of Excellence recognize exceptional entries in each of the individual categories.
Counseling Today has received a total of 49 awards for writing, design and website excellence since 2005.
